January was a looooonnnnngggg month so I am happy to welcome February! We are happy to welcome 2019 with open arms. Last year at this time, Alex had just had major surgery and we were home healing and dealing. What a difference a year makes.
The year (like most) went fast, and we had our ups and downs, but we made a lot of great memories. I am finding it harder and harder to find the time to sit down and share my thoughts/memories with all of you. Something I would like to work on this year. I didn't even touch on the last 3 months of 2018 - and now I am already into the 2nd month of 2019 and it exhausts me to even think about going back! But I will catch you up on some highlights.
The boys started 3rd grade in September (and are already half way through!). They are both doing well, but it has been a bit of an adjustment going from lower elementary to upper elementary - at least for Evan. More work - less Play. They have a great group in their class this year and there are so many kids that love to help Alex and spend time with him. It makes my heart smile. He and Evan are in class again and I enjoy the days when they read together or do something as a team.
October was full of fun fall activities, pumpkin painting and carving and of course Halloween! Evan was a skeleton and Alex was a Swat Team Member! We also visited the Wilderness Zoo in Frankenmuth.
November Alex had surgery to remove the hardware in his leg from his hip surgery. It was on Friday November 16, 2018. Evan wanted to go with us this time since he wasn't allowed to go with us in January. It was nice having him there and Alex liked it as well. This surgery was way different than the initial surgery. It was outpatient and Alex was back to school on Monday before the Thanksgiving Break.
He healed very well!

We celebrated Eric's birthday on the 25th with Presents and
Dinner at Sagano, Japanese Steakhouse.
December was all Christmas of course! We made cookies, spent time with Family and spent an evening in downtown Rochester looking at lights and having some treats!
